scratches and paint touch up

Whats up, I have a couple minor scratches on my car and was wondering if anyone knows anything that works good to get out minor scratches? Also does anyone know where to get matching paint for touch ups on our cars. I have a 2003 black mica. Thanks.

Mazda dealership will have the correct touchup paint. If your scrathes are not too deep, you can buff them out with 3M Perfect It III rubbing compound. That is some good stuff, its not abrasive like most compounds. Don't try to get the scratch out all at once, several applications may be needed. Heavy scratches can be wet sanded and buffed. If its too deep, only repainting will fix it. Don't try it unless you know how to do it. Black is an unforgiving color!

You should also get a free bottle of touch-up paint from the dealer, with your dealer care package. If not, ask for it.

i never got a bottle of touch-up paint or the survey they ask for all 10s on. i did get the original shift knob in my glove box though. mainly i'm trying not to scratch the car.

you just need to accept the scratches. just try to stop looking at your paint, there'll always be scratches, black sucks

Some small surface scratches will come out with GS27. You can buy it at your local auto store. I used it on my car, the color doesnt matter since it comes out clear on the surface. I havent seen any residue or anything that it has left behind. Worked great. Deep scratches wont come out, you need to get touch up paint. If you call Mazda USA, you will get a free small bottle of touch of paint when you call their customer service number. It may take a few weeks to get there though. But it will be your car's exact match.

i recieved touch up paint for my car (blazing yellow) and IMO it doesnt match very well.....come to think of it i may not have shook it up good enough? but even if i would have im not sure that it would match perfectly but, i could be wrong!

The color of the paint is the same, the thing is when you get it from the factory it has a layer of clear coat on it. This is why the touch up paint looks "dull."

As noted, you can call Mazda corporate and ask for a bottle of touch-up if you did not get one. It will come in the mail, most likely with a survey.
