Scraped rim- any fix?

I scraped one of my rims pulling into a parking spot next to an island. It's about 4 inches long and on the lip right by the rubber. The rims look coated, so I am afraid to just try to clean it up w/ a dremel (chipping). The scratches are DEEP. Has anyone had to do the same thing- or tried to repair chips/scratches on their rims? Just curious... any help would be much appreciated!
Thanks,

you might want to give the following company a call:
www.wheelfix.com

they're located near toronto. they refinished some corroded wheels for me a few years ago and did an excellent job. the exchange rate would be working in your favour.

Yeah, my right rear has the same prob...a nice gash near the rubber. :(

I just submitted a form to get an estimate on mine...If I hear back from them with an estimate, I'll post it. You do the same!

hi kurt, no mp3, just a p5. i'm in etobicoke/toronto around bloor and royal york. thanks for the toprotege info. i'll check it out.

same thing happened to me yesterday but guess what if you use a power hose from the local car wash that is powerful enough you can actually chip a little clearcoat off the rim a little at a time thats what happened to my back left rim and the dealership said that it was a defect and they are ordering me a new set of front rims if anything im doing it to the back ones so i can get some new rimz
