Scangauge II installed (MS6)

OK, I've got my Scangauge in now, and I've been playing with it, although I still haven't really set it up properly yet. I was experimenting with locations, and found that the change tray to the left of the steering wheel is the PERFECT size for it to just sit in snugly. It keeps out of the way of knees and feet, it's a dead easy cable run from the OBD II port, and it leaves the ashtray spot open for my Blackberry.

It also means no modification needed, I just popped the tray out and ran the cable in behind. The cable does get a bit squished, but I don't think it's a problem. I used one of the two provided velcro strips on the top to keep it at the proper angle, and it seems great so far.

Anyway, here are a few pics of it in and ready to go... the red is a very nice match.

Looks great man! Ever thought of mounting it right on top of the steering column? Easier to read without taking your eyes too far off the road.

Thanks Steve! I did look at mounting it on the steering column, and I haven't ruled it out as an option. The problem up there is that I don't want anything blocking even a tiny corner of the factory gauges, and to keep it out of the way, it's almost too low to read there too. I'm mostly using it for fuel economy, with boost and HP gauges for kind of fun, so I don't need to have a constant eye on it, but if I do find I'm looking down too much, I might relocate it. The other thing is that it fit so perfectly in that spot, it almost seems a waste to move it! lol

I find there is a small dead spot between the gauges. Noone really cares if they're going <10 mph, and you shouldn't be at 7k rpm or higher. The nice thing about the lower location too is that its out of sight. I'm debating about picking up a Dashhawk and I like your location of the SG right now. Great pics too!
