Hey, so I'm new to the MS3 world and I was wondering if any had any idea how much power the stock internals on the motor can handle? I've done some searchs but no one seems to be giving a real answer...
Thanks

Yeah, seems like 263hp and 280ftlbs is safest.
At least from comparing stories of moded vs non blown motors...

every motor is going to be different, stock internals and be good/safe for everyday I'd say 300hp.

Lies! Stock block is perfectly safe and reliable at 400+ whp. Stock clutch is good for some major powar as well.

I believe I'm currently the highest power stock block Mazdaspeed in the world. I dynoed at 490ish whp and 480ish ft-lb tq, and everything is holding up fine. I've even done about 7 passes at the track on slicks, and the clutch is still kicking ass

^ Amen. It's not the block and internals. There are a lot of 400+ engines on the MSF forum holding up fine. And there are engines barely making stock power that are blowing. It's the stupid things guys do with their mods that bend rods and put holes in blocks. Do dopey things with incompatable mods, with reckless tunes, and by making mistakes when on the ragged edge and engine parts go into orbit.

WOW with those claims, please post dyno sheets...!! track time sheets!

Already posted. Search for threads started by me. My runs at the track were less than impressive. I forgot my laptop so I couldn't do any tuning, and I was bogging on the launch because of LC
