mazda protege
This would be interesting to start a conversation about. Since 98 b/w pro is building a custom turbo for the 1.5 i think im gonna make it rear wheel drive. If nissan can slap a sr20 into a miata, i think its possible to do this. whos with me?????? We cant keep lying to ourselves. The LX 1.5 Can make it!!
1.custom drive shaft
2.Maybe miata rear-end(junk yard, but buy whole car to get all parts cheap)
3. Miata motor
4 2 ******* tons of fabrication
5. beefy ass suspension

est. cost= 2,000-6,000
hp increase = ????
luck= slim to none
worth it= hell yeah.....................

Waste of time. If it was a BG chassis car then it wouldn't be TOO difficult as the 4WD model has the drivetrain hump.

That's the hardest part of what you are suggesting...you'll need to lots of fabbing the chassis, different fuel tank, etc.

You should totally force-fit one of those Focus 5.0 conversion kits into a Protege wagon. Then it would be a Protege5.0!

i think

i think its possible, and i would put money on it that it would work. I can get all kinds of steel for free for a chasis and i can weld to so i think all it is a little bit of turning of a knob to get going.

I want an all wheel drive turbo P5. That sounds so smooth I think I'm going to write a song with that as the title...

Of course it's possible, and if you can do all the fabrication yourself and get the material cheap, then go for it. But this will be neither cheap or easy, so just make sure you know what you're getting into before you start chopping your car apart.

gas tank

to get rid of the gas tank, i could use an rx-7 fuel pump and run a fuel cell in the trunk. that would eliminate that problem. Im still searching and finding out if this is really gonna work. I know it will. Search the net for a honda crx that has like a 454 with a blower sticking out of the hood.
