Ok, I need to know the best and most economical way to fix my fuel to air ratio running to rich. The only engine mods I've done are the ram intake and the jspec camshafts. I'm assuming it's the camshafts causing the change. I burned up one cat converter, then a second with less than 2K on it. I was looking at the AEM F/IC but thought I better ask from someone who's been there. Has anyone had this problem and can you tell me the best way to correct it?

get a wideband first to see what your a/f ratio is...youll need it anyway when you are tuning the car with whatever you decide on...the split sec afc has been proven on our cars and there is plenty of support for it on this forum

thanks man. so the AER and the split sec don't show you the current a/f ratio? what wideband would you recommend?

AEM Wideband is the most affordable & the best bang for the buck. Prosport & Innovate also make nice ones. If you can find a Defi, they are the s***.

ill probably be going with the aem unit myself, gotta get some money first though. the spli sec will datalog the a/f ratio, but you have to have a wideband sensor for it to read for the logging

If you search the one of the threads I made, I discussed the solution for the stock rich mixtures using the ss afc.

I also uploaded a NA map for the controller so if you buy the air fuel controller, just upload my map and you should be good to go with a few minor adjustments. If you cannot find my map on the forums pm me.
