Hi,
I have a 2010 Mazda CX and it makes a rumbling sound when I accelerate. It is getting louder when the car warms up. I just bought a car at the car auction so I know nothing about it. I took it to the mechanic and his diagnose was to replace rod bearings for over $900 but he is not sure if the problem will be solved by that repair. The other mechanic suggested that the push rod needs to be replaced. I checked the car on the OBD scanner and there are no trouble codes. The Freeze Frame is empty as well. How is it possible that the engine seems to have a serious problem and there are no indicated troubles on the OBD scanner? Is it possible that it might be a loose part somewhere and it couches the vibration of the engine?
The engine power seems to be fine. Any thoughts/advise on this problem?
Thanks.
