rpms 0-60

Drove the car today from 0 to 60 at a red light I really thought I might damage the car the rpms went all the way to mid 6600rpm before it went to 2nd then from 2nd to 3rd it was around 5000rpm then gradutaly steping down to like 3000rpm till I hit about 80mph is this normal?

seemed like the car lagged a bit like it wanted to go faster but something was holding it back

Nope no parking brake

As a matter of fact my brother has one of those ob2 scanner plug in module that records vehicle data almost like a black box for cars.

I am willing to ask him if I can borrow it and test this out and post up the charts readouts.

well that is the redline so, if ur saying it upshifted then what was the problem?

if you were at a dead start it may feel sluggish, next time do it from about 5 to 10 mph i bet u wont feel sluggish at all - the juice of the engine is in 2nd and 3rd gear, i was ripping by people on the highway my last trip to NH 2 weeks ago in 3rd gear blowing peoples doors off . . . hahahh and yes i was safe.! 3rd gear on the highway in that 50-75 range is rediculous
