rota torques 18x8 48 offset

Hey guys I am looking to buy a set of rota torques 18x8 with 48 offset. I'd really like to use a 235 40 18 tire on these rims, but even after looking through many posts of all different tire and wheel setups I still am not willing to just buy them and hope they will fit. Does anyone have a bit of helpful input as to whether or not I would have an issue with these rims with that tire size? I'd like to go 245's even if possible, but i doubt it would fit. Thank you for any and all input! and also..... will the large offset make it look stupid? haha just need opinions!

I ran 245/40/18 street tire on the same wheels. If you are on stock suspension, the rear will rub just a tad, with a stiffer suspension, no rolling needed.

okay that is just stupid. wheels are wheels everyone will bite off someone. why spend 500 per wheel just to f* them up?
