I am wanting to completly take off my roof rack. I was wondering how you got it off. I am not sure if it slides out or pops off after you take all the screws out. Sorry if this is a repost. I searched and couldn't find anything.

roof rack was an option for me when i got my car...i waved my hand infront of the dealers face and said "you shall not put a roof rack on"

but on a serious note i beleive it is easy to take off BUT the issue is itl just be a gap there and to cover it you need to buy a strip that takes its place and thats expensive or so i am told.

It is easy to get the cross bars off. It takes like 5 minutes. You will still have a rail on each side of the car though. Mine came with covers to place in the void left once the cross bars are off...

yeah, big process.....i have a black car so the side rails blend in with the car when i have nothing on top of the car and the load bars are off.

I've taken the cross bars off but I wanted it all off. I've had the cross bars off since about a week after I bought the car. I tried to make into an apartment complex behind a friend and the wooden bar came down and hit my rails. Now they have white paint on the driver's side one and they slightly buckled in one spot.

If you don't use the rack at all, it makes sense to take'em off, looks cleaner, maybe a little less wind noise? Get a friend to help you, it's not difficult, just takes some time. If you've never taken anything off in a car it might seem intimating, but really, not bad at all.

It took me and my dad like 2 hours to get mine off, just make sure you buy the filler pieces and fill the holes in your roof. I filled mine with silicone.
