got a copy of the march 2004 road & track. it looks like mazda will only be adding suspension enhancements (making body roll disappear and turn even tighter) along with some intake and exhaust modifications to bring out an extra 10 bhp. they say it's noticeably smoother due to a lightened flywheel and reaches the rev limit much quicker than stock. the body enhancements are of course that most of you have seen already in many pictures online. VERY VERY SEXY. Yoshioka (an engineer for mazda in japan) said that the North American arm of Mazdaspeed is working on a supercharged version while there may be a hydraulic turbocharged version (the turbo is spooled by a hydraulic pump instead of exhaust gases). but this is just rumors until everything has been finalized. too sexy for the road.

yeehawwwwwwwww

i'm gonna invent a turbo system where you have 2 turbos. one small ass one that is spun by exhaust gas and a big ass one spun by the charge air of the smaller one... haha.

i'de be interested to see the results of this effort by msusa. i think that the rx8 is one sexxxy machine.

I cannot say who, but a Canadian company has been hired by Mazda to complete the Supercharging project for the RX8.

or is this just a rumour? hummm

:D

Extra 10 hp, eh? They should have put that tweak on the stock ones...then they'd make the claimed hp.

do u have the link by any chance to road&track? they take some good pix when they test drive cars...
