Road Rage: How do you deal with it?

i just let it go. no point in risking my life, other's lives, or any damage to the p5. i've heard some horror stories about people getting killed over road rage. just mumble that they are an asshole with your windows up and everything will be fine. life goes on.
Depends on the situation:
If it is just a cut off I normally see them before it happens. Otherwise just a look,horn or finger.
It they keep it up going through traffic then I'll call the police.
For the almost rear endings that's why I normally leave about 2 car lengths in front of me when stopping. Only after I have atleast 2 cars stopped behind me do I move up some.
I've done the whole screaming, revenage tactics before but just getting tired of the whole thing. Plus not near as stressed out by just ignoring them and keeping a sharper eye out.

You mean it's bad to grab the Easton from behind your seat, pull next to them swinging the bat, and daring them to get out of the car?? I have only done that once, but this ****** cut me off and then flipped ME off!! His face was white as a ghost. It probaly helped that I am 6'1" and 200 lbs. He looked like he was gonna cry. Eventually I just got out my phone and pretended to call the cops, that is what I usually do.

i generally don't get really upset at people for cutting me off and stuff like that. why? because i'm sure i've done it before too...except i do however tend to yell a lot at people who are on their phones...

i used to be full of rage back in the day....it was hard to cope with Florida drivers...living there for 10 years made me realize that FL is the melting pot of oblivious drivers.
It's just not worth the energy any more. A single finger soothes me enough to let them keep going. Unless of course they are doing 50 in the fast lane....then i go apeshit!!

Same here. Sadly enough, there are so many idiotic/oblivious/asshole drivers out there that my entire attitude is that every car could be a dumbass, so I just drive defensively (but still aggressively when needed) and make sure to always be alert, leave plenty of room between me and other cars, and just wait for the next moron to pull some stupid move.REMillers said:

I prefer my hydrylic jack handle, but yes, that is an effective (but not too subtile) tactic.
In all seriousness I just b**** up a storm in my car and usually get over it immediately after letting out a few loud 4 letter words. I find in that form of rage you can actually invent new curse words that will end up making you laugh off your hysteria. Asspuppet came out of a tailgating incident.
If you're on the highway and you do manage to get in front of the idiot that:
1. Cuts you off
2. Drives really slow in the left lane
3. and drives a shiny new car
then a good and harmless way to kinda get back at them is to turn your windshield wipers on and spray them behind ya!

hahaha...that's a pretty good one...but there are some crazy people who take things way too seriously out there...my friend was driving home one day and he needed to merge left, turned on his signal and started to move over, this guy in a focus started to speed up and try to block him but didn't make it...so he took it as my friend cutting him off...anyways, the guy started to follow him, my friend even drove like 7 miles out of his way just to shake the guy (he didn't want to go home and let the focus know where he lived)...so finally he ended up in the empty parking lot, the guy gets out of his focus (no offense to anybody but he was total white trash)...starts running at my friend in his new A4...yelling to get out and fight he kicks in my friends door panel, my friend thought said my thinks he had a knife so my friend just gunned it and flew over the curb and took off...
he ended up with a dented in door panel and a dented wheel...psycho

I'll honk or give'm the old BRIGHTS! But that's usually enough.. I've pissed some people off like crazy just doing that (example.. BRIGHT-ed a guy who came flying off the freeway and cut me off, nearly hitting somebody else in the process.. he was screaming obscenities at me the whole way down the feeder.. I laughed at him)..
Also.. laughing seems to rub it in their face a lot when they get mad at me.. so I do that as much as I can.
But I've become slave to my road rage a few times.. (hunted a guy who dropped a firecracker on my hood for a good 30 minutes.. briefly tailgated some girls in a Civic who flipped me off for no reason)
So I guess it depends on my mood and the situation..

I was going uphill. Speed limit was 50. The guy in front of me was going to like 25. So I flashed brights on. He lets me go and then he follows me. Almost rear ends me on different occasions. Then I lost his in some back roads. Learned how to powerslide too 
But he hella scared me. ******. He had a civic btw.

During my commute I was observing as this guy was just going nuts trying to pass people, tailgating every person in front of him and screaming and yelling while doing so. His madness was sort of funny just because it was so ridiculous and out there, but this guy was just a menace. I was on the exit ramp looking over at him and he looked over and started screaming from his car (windows up and all) so it just looked kind of funny, but it's really dangerous to have people like that out there.

Hah, I got cut off by some guy in a ZX2 about 2 weeks ago, I raise my arms in a "WTF motion" and he rides my ass. I had the right of way to turn right on a green light and he was coming from the other side turning left on green and almost hit me, that is how he ended up behind me. Soooo, I introduce him to tweety (ya know, the bird) and downshift into second, redline 2nd and 3rd, then see a cop up ahead with somebody pulled over, I hit the brakes and change lanes as I notice another cop pulling out about 50 yds back. I go to court tomorrow for 75MPH in a 35MPH zone!! So, yea, I was a dumbass for letting that guy get to me and now I will pay the consequences. The state trooper was cool about it, and I called a cop friend of mine and he said that the code he wrote me for was not reckless operation, but just speeding. I am hoping I don't get screwed, but I at least know the fine is gonna be huge. I guess it doesn't pay to react. Hell, I almost gave an old man a heart attack once when I punched his sideview mirror while driving down a highway doing 55. He was driving in the center of the road because there were signs that said, "one lane ahead" and he was trying to keep people from getting around him and the barrels had been moved off of the road for 2 days. My buddy was behind me and he thought it was hilarious, needless to say, my wife was not amused at all. From here on out, I am really going to try and control myself more.

i like messin with tailgaters..............we have a main road here that gets very busy (greenbay rd.) and its mostly 1 lane each way. speed limit for the most part is like 50, ill be doin 55 and someone starts riding my ass......................solution: slow down to 35 and watch them turn into inst-psycho, its funny!
