Road block....

So yesterday i was cruising on Knight street on my way back home and there was a road block..........and this is how it went...


*Officer puts up hands to stop my car and motions for me to roll down the windows*

Officer : " Hi there "
Me : " Hi "
Officer : " May i see your license please? "
Me : " Sure, here you go "

*Officer takes a look at my license*

Officer : " Is this your car? What year is it? "
Me : " Yes, and its a 01 "
Officer : " So this is a Subaru eh? "
Me : " No. its a MAZDA.... "

Then he looks around my interior and sees my Mazda badge on the dash and said " Oh ya......its a Mazda...."

And when i took off i saw him from the rear view mirror looking at my car scratching his head.....lol

hahah i understand where you are comin from. Alot of people think the MP3 is a WRX... maybe from one angle, but still looks like a mazda to me... One dealer at a honda dealership thought it was a WRX, a guy at the Leshwab Tire Center thought it was a WRX, my co-workers thought it was, another WRX driver thought it was.... kinda sad.....

Yeah looks much more like the EVO than Impreza.
Which is just fine by me .. but imagine all the confusion when people are driving around Blue EVOs as well

I hate being confused with the WRX.

EVO would definitely be better.

Had a friend stop by and he say the MP3 and 6 parked next to each other and said "you got two of the same cars?" :wtf:

How can you not tell them apart. Then someone at work said the same thing to me today. :mad: :'(

I dunno, when I see a 6 driving I have to do a double take to make sure its not a yellow speed for some reason.

Personally I think this happens mostly because of the COLOR....an the fact that they have probably seen a LOT of WRX's....but nearly NO MP3's and the blues are fairly close....I think for those that don't have a REAL keen eye for cars could easily make the mistake....especially if you had gold wheels on your car.

yeah same happens to me all the time...i think its a combo of the color of our car and the wrx and then the fogs...which they dont look much like the wrx but nobody usually sees anything but the color...and the one factor that you would think they would notice is that we dont have a hood scoop...wrx's do...like some of you have said...look at the badge ppl..lol

when i went to the drag strip for the first time w/ my car, ran a 16.3 or something along those lines. a guy came up to me and said "gawd damn boy that there subrew is ****** slow" i was like thanks, its a mazda, and yes i know its slow. what a great feeling.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention, people always confuse me with the P5. They tell me where they saw me and when, I say, 'Nope, wasn't me, was it a wagon??' 'Oh, maybe'. I'm the only yellow MP3 around town, so I know it wasn't me. I've seen some blues, always catch them going the other direction so I never know if it's the same one.

Oh yeah, and the P.O.S. Lancer (not the EVO, that yellow one they sell) haha piece of sh!t, I hate that car!!
