Ok ladies this is your chance to give your opinions...

I have been getting a world of s*** lately for getting the MSP back to its original shape. She has been bugging me for a couple of months for an engament ring and even went to pick on out, but I have not gone to look at it with her. I keep telling her I dont have the money for it right now. Then I buy the racing heart rims, then the shift knob, then the boost guage and pod, the I order the rear wing from spoiler depot.

Last week i kind of felt guilty and went to the Jewler to look at it myself. The one she want is GESUS $1700.00. Imagine what I can do to my car for $1700.00. I am getting my income tax back next week for guess how much? around $1700.00. So I can either please the woman or say hell with her and get some fat ass mods for the car...lol. Why cant women be satisfied with a small speca diamond and be done with it. Men dont give a s*** what kind of ring is on there fingers. They are always out to impress thier girlfriends by having a bigger rock. Men never do that we jsut play with out big toys and have fun with them (glare).

Mods or Ring You make the call!

If she's a keeper buy the ring if your not sure yet buy stuff for the car, if she doesn't complain too much she maybe the keeper. Ask her to be more practical though $1700 is a lot of money unless of course your a doctor or have family money. Good luck.

I have 2 thoughts for you.
#1. $1700.00 is quite a bit if money, but in truth, that is not bad for an engagement ring.
#2. My only advice to you is not to rush into anything. Put the though of the money out of your head and think about spending time with your woman. Do you enjoy it all the time, most of the time, some of the time? (because if you get married, your time together will either be a blessing or a curse.) Point is: don't do it to make her happy, do it if it will make you happy.
You gotta get past the money thing. Money comes and goes.

r u going to marry this woman? if not tell her to stfu and be happy with what she already has in life and make your speed run low 13s on pump gas.

depends. i would probably buy the ring becuase my girlfriend comes first then the car. And think if you get her a ring.. then she might buy you s*** for your car.. which in turn is okay so which ever you do good luck

if your not spending the rest of your life with the chick then **** spending money on girls, its a waste. if you gotta spend cash to keep em around then they shouldnt be worth s*** to you.

I spent $1700 on my fiancee's engagement ring....now everytime I want to do something for my car, she says that that money could have been spent elsewhere, like on paint for the apartment (rofl) Two words, secret mastercard

Jeff you gotta spend the money to get the goods. Wether its a $50 spot on a hooker or a $50 on a diner and a movie. You still gotta, whats that saying? "YOU GOTTA PAY TO PLAY"

"I spent $1700 on my fiancee's engagement ring....

So still not happy? Gesus...THats what I will proably hear.

This is ironic for me. I am reading this while remembering similar conversations with my girlfriend a couple of years ago. I had a plan to get a turbo kit for my car and even went as far as to buy engine management. She was freakin' pissed to say the least. My arguement was that we know we are going to be together and get married. I have to buy a ring, pay for the wedding, honey moon etc. Then come the kids etc., etc. Having said that I will now present the other side of the argument. I have always dreamed of having a bad arse car, fast, clean, nice, custom. If we get married, when will I ever have time to have that fast car? When I am 60? We have the ring picked out and she now is managing my money with me and can see how much things cost for me. I don't have a turbo and don't plan on getting one any time soon. I have put off my dream for a keeper. For a while anyhow lol. I figured out that without that keeper then all the other crap isn't worth it. My advice to you is to be very careful with this issue. Ladies never forget anything! Fast cars are common, keepers aren't.

Split the dough.....Buy her a ring, but not an engagement ring...You should know already if you want to be married...It does change s*** a lot...Surprise her for Valentines day with some crazy s***, and still have $800 to drop on the ride...and start saving for a "real" I'm getting married kind of ring....If she's worth it....Just my opinion.... (thumb)

Oh yeah and $1500 for a ring is pretty cheap. Mine wants a $3500 ring and it's barely one carot. (Don't know if I spelled that right.)

I had kind of a similiar dilemna, i could either get the tattoo i wanted for 2000 this year or drop it into the car, and i think i decided to drop it on the car. Theres always next year.

To be honest........If her ring costs $1700.00 be happy. I have friends that spent 3-4 times that amount and i know my girlfriends ring will cost an arm and a leg. It's a personal preference, but girls are girls and they need bragging rights to survive in life and a ring is definitely one of them. I say buy the ring and everytime she complains or bitches about ANYTHING (even buying parts), point to your ring finger and then put your finger over your mouth telling her to Shhhh.
