resetting the head unit

I've now had to reset my head unit twice in the last few weeks when the radio mysteriously turns off and wont turn back on. The first time it happened as I was driving, and the 2nd time it just never turned on. Has this happened to other people? Is there a way to fix it besides getting a new radio?

are you running an amp? if so the amp could be shutting down due to poor ventilation.. (over heating)

Have you changed the wiring on your door speakers or anything like that? Could be getting too low of an impedance now... if you have changed it, if not disregard this.
