Research on Mazda3 & Mazda6 engine internals

First of all... hi to everyone... im new in this forums :-)

I was trying to look for specs in Mazda3 and Mazda6 engines... but I could not find anything so I thought maybe you people can help me

There is a great dilemma between my friends... some say that the engines that come with this two cars have forged internals direct from the factory

what is the truth about this? which engines do come forged? In my country (Colombia), M3 and M6 are assembled locally, M3 comes in two versions (2 liter and 1.6 liter) and M6 comes with 2 liter and 2,3 liter... what about engines avaliable in the US and other countries?

thanks!!!

we get the 2.0, the 2.3 and the 3.0 v6. i can assure you that our engines do not have forged internals from the factory.

specs like these? cause there's a LOT of websites that have this. i'm not sure exactly what you're searching for (part numbers for internals?)

ENGINE
Type: inline-4, aluminum block and head
Bore x stroke: 3.44 x 3.70 in, 87.5 x 94.0mm
Displacement: 138 cu in, 2261cc
Compression ratio: 9.7:1
Fuel-delivery system: port injection
Valve gear: chain-driven double overhead cams, 4 valves per cylinder, variable intake-valve timing
Power (SAE net): 160 bhp @ 6500 rpm
Torque (SAE net): 150 lb-ft @ 4500 rpm
Redline: 7100 rpm

doubt mazda would actually put forged internals in the N/A models.

Details on the MS6

http://www.grohol.com/mazda/ms6.htm

"The cylinder block and cylinder head are made using a new implementation of the Advanced Precision Mazda Casting process, which increases their strength. In addition, cross drilling between the block liners and between the valve bridges on the cylinder head improves resistance to heat. The crankshaft and connecting rods are made of steel, the diameters of the connecting pins increased, the shape of the rods optimized, full floating pistons introduced, and made to ensure that all moving parts are stronger, more rigid and more durable."
