Removed Molding/Painted brakes

What percent tint do you have? Any problems removing the moldings? Also...where did you purcahse the shark fin? Painted? The car looks great! Good work...

I took off my molding the first week I had the car and painted the emblems black.It looks much better.

I'm gona try take them off this weekend. How hard was to take the glue off?

I recommened using Goo-Gone to remove the leftover glue.

Ill post some pics when I get home from work tonight.I painted the emblems with auto spray paint and clear coat.It matchs nicely,I like it.
The side moldings come off with no problem.I used my hair dryer and fishing line to get it started then just pull off by hand.You wont have a problem with the glue but if you do just use some tar and bug remover.Its like a rubber cement glue so you can just roll most of it off with your finger.

Car looks good. yeah agree on the no moldings!

I dont knwo if anyone has tried. But for sticky residue i have youes orange spray! or citrus cleaner. the natrual accidity in the cleaner has worked for me in the past for cleaning glue adhesive. and is usually in soem peoples kitchen already.


but loos good. Any proplems gettign the badging off? and which ones have holes?

Thanks..The front has the holes,No holes on the back.No real problem getting them off,I used my hair dryer on those also.I put new 3M tape on it when I put it back on.

I really like the painted shark fin antenna.I may have to look into that.

shark diver, no offense to you. but that polished fuel door sticks out like a soar thumb...it just doesn't look good. nothing else on the car is polished except the emblems which you already painted black like me.

I know what you are talking about,It came with the car when I got it.Im getting a price to have it painted black mica.

50% in front 35% in rear to keep it legal in VA

Shark fin was thorugh a group buy held on the forums about 2-3 months ago

Moldings took 2 mins and there was no goo left onthe car.

i was looking at the picture of your rear window and i couldnt figure out what was missing. then i realized it was the wiper. what did you do to remove that.
