Remote Starter

Dont really know where to post this, hope this works. I am thinking about getting a remote starter for my car for christmas. Anybody have input on what one I should get? I dont have any ideas yet, but I want one that is just a starter (no alarm), and it also needs to be for a mtx. tia

tomorrow (wednesday) im getting a starter and alarm combo put on my manual 3. the one im getting is by ultrastart and is supposted to be pretty good. the key fob that starts it beeps back to tell u that it did start and its gotta back lit screen that shows if its running, locked, and it has a feature that if it gets below a certain temp it starts the car automatically for like 15 minutes to warm it up. Thats gonna be good for the cold winters we get here, dont want any freeze plugs coming out.
and as far as it being a manual alls i have to do is leave it in neutral, set the parking brake, then tap the brake 2 times and get outta the car. the car will remain running until i hit the lock button, so that way theres no chance of me starting the car with it in gear and hitting anything.

that one sounds pretty awesome, but probably too expensive for me. How much? I probably shouldnt get one that is over $250 at all

I have an Autopage on mine and I have had no problems with it. I know the owner of the place where I went to get it and he charged me $200 for both the starter and labor. Nice to have connections.

I don't know if you can apply this brand to your mtx. Just caught it. (thumb)

don't get the mazda oem one... doesn't work on manuals... damn bastards!!! so now i have an oem alarm with out the start.... good luck, and i am interested as well as to what others got for a mtx....

Yea mine got pusted back untill today AND i forgot my spare key at home so i wont know how it work till after i bring my key back out tomorrow and program it.

got mine installed and everything. having a little trouble getting the aftermarket key fob to lock and unlock my doors but were workin on that. Other then that it works good, i set the ebrake, tap my brake pedal once and then get outta the car and once i shut the door the motor stops running. once i hit the start button on the clicker theres a little pic on the thing that shows me that the cars running. as far as price i have no idea what they would normally cost as i got mine done for free...sorta. the owner of the place wants to trade off our services so i was like kool.
