Remote start for MS3?

So what I've been doing so far is taking one keys to manually start the car. Then I get out while it's warming up (friggin' cold in the mornings here) and lock the doors from the outside with my second key. Of course this leaves me with the paranoid feeling that someone will break the window, jump in and take off.

I know how remote starts usually work (they start the car, well, remotely, and the car turns off after x amount of minutes or if you hit the brake pedal without a key in the ignition). Is there a way to hook this up to a MS3 and it's maual transmission? One thing I was thinking is would it work if I got IN the car, pressed the clutch down, hit remote start, then left the car and locked it without a key in? Thanks.

thats wat i have with my ms3 and my work truck....set the temp 80 high at nite...remote start in the morning for 5 mins....nice and warm when i get out and drive....

I like the Avital Avi-start system. A remote start system can be installed on a manual or automatic transmission, but some intallers and certain states frown upon installing them on manual transmissions because of liability concerns. You can custom wire your door locks, but based on what I've read remote start with mazdaspeed3 it's pretty complicated.
