Recall Question, need advice

I just recently purchased my new speed3 on the 7 of july and after finding this forum and reading about the #4 engine bolt recall i became concerned for my baby. So i decided to call the dealer today to find out if my car was one of the unfortuniate few that required the bolt and they told me it was. So basically the ealer sold me a car with a recall on it and not telling me, i was just wondering if this could be illegal. any advice????

doubtful that it was illegal. It depends when the actuall recall went out (which was ver recently) and not all dealers recieved it at the same time.

As long as they fix it, whats the problem?

What are you trying to achieve by finding out if its legal or not?

I think your time would be better spent comparing prices of different vendors or making friends with a mazda parts distributor.. that's the wrong way to go about getting a discount. If you try your current idea, I hope you are going to work on your car yourself, because that dealer is gonna treat you like crap if you try to rake them over the coals for a recall.
