I'd like to know if anyone had or has an issue with the small upper rear side located under the window. Since picking my 5GT in Feb-08 this panel has never been flush and has now started to 'pop' out of place.
The dealership have on a number of occasions pushed it back into place, but it keeps popping out (never falling off completely) claiming the panel simply 'clips' into place. I'm afraid one day the piece will fall off completely.
I contacted Mazda Canada to lodge a quality assurance concern and Mazda indicated that this is the first they have heard of this issue. According to Mazda Canada the aforementioned panel is held in with clips. Oddly enough I was warned by both Mazda and the dealership to be careful not to lose or to prevent losing the panel, removing the panel, as it might pose warranty issues. The earliest appointment I can get with the dealership is mid next week. Needless to say I'm constantly checking my side view mirror to make sure the panel is still there.
