Rear seat belt assy.after spring install

I just installed my eibach springs. I'm trying to back back all the rear panels, and the rear seat belt assembly back on. But my problem is that the seat belt assy. will not allow me to pull it back to the original mounting bracket. there's some kind of internal locking device. can anyone help??

Yea that Sucks.. it took me awhile to get it back in.. what happens is; When you slam on your brakes theres a weight that goes forward which locks the seatbelt so the person does not go flying...
so what you have to do is, get the seat belt in the angle that it would be in the car and kinda jiggle it around.. if u look close when you pull the belt u can see the locking happen.. just get it in a level postion that it sits in while bolted in the car and just play around till u get play.. But once u pull a few feet out dont let it go back in till you bolt both ends in place... Hope this helps you some.. good luck, PS:::: take your time..

that is exactly how you do it..look at the bolt on which the assy mounts to the car..now hold it on your hand EXACTLY the way it would be sittin as if it was on that bolt..and it will work..any slight variation will cause it to lock

I have had this problem, drink a beer and relax. You turn it up right like it is mounted. Gently pull it, you have to have some real patience this it takes very little effort to make them lock. At first I was pissed and started trieing to manually unlock it with a screw driver and that is not t he way to get it done so I went inside and thought about it for a while drank a beer. Went back and the first gentl pull I made it came right out. Good Luck!

I did the same.. I tryed for a long time with sharp things, put it away, went back afew hours later with the relax/upright idea.. Then I did it like 3rd pull
