Rear firewall motor mount

Good afternoon everyone and thanks for reading my post! I have a Mazda Protege5 2003. I recently changed my right and radiator motor mounts but simply cannot figure out how to replace the rear fire wall one! It's beyond frustrating. If anyone can offer some help/advice and/or where I can buy a repair manual, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

It's an adventure. Just make sure you've got a few feet of socket extensions and pry-bars.

i had to have extensions, pivots, and prybars. the thing that made all of the difference was loosening the bottom nuts on the front mount to rock the engine back.

Here's some pics I did mine the other day. The intake manifold is a b**** to remove. Easiest way to get the bolts off the motor mounts is with a deep socket, pivot, LONG extension (mine was like 2' long) and a breaker bar.

Cheater, try doing it without removing the intake manifold.

I couldn't get the horizontal bolt out either, had to use extensions out the wheel well in order to get a breaker bar on it.

hahaha, i wanted to take the butterflies out of the intake manifold so i figured i might as well do it all at once :P

^me too. With everything out - it was still a beotch to get that connector bracket out of the way....

Do the intake in two sections - way easier.
