Rear Door Speakers

I dont know if anyone ever noticed this but there is cut outs and screens in the rear doors that would suggest that there is a speaker there but there isnt one. I was wondering what kind of speakers I should put back there since I figured if there was a spot for them why not have them. I was thinking about putting the front doors speakers back there and putting some new speakers in the front like those speakers with the tweeters in the middle... well ya

I'd stay with the theme of the MP3 and go with some good Kenwood speakers. I plan on doing that also in the future. I also plan on getting the tweeter pods that are in the new 2002.5 Pro5.

big ben
Do you think Mazda will sell those tweeters. Oh and I would wire those front speakers. I know how to make things fast when it comes to radio's I do not know a damn thing.lol. Maybe cause I am white. lol

I'm sure they would sell them. You'll just have to go to a mazda dealer and ask them to order them. You'll probably have to show them what they are. You would be amazed at how little dealers know about the cars they are selling. Just for kicks, go to a mazda dealer and ask what the efficiency of the new mazdaspeed pro's intercooler.

The doors that are on the MP3 are the same rears that the regular Protege has and that the Protege 5 has. The sedans put their rear speakers in the rear deck, but the P5 doesn't have a rear deck, hence the door cut outs.

speakers

thanks I guess size does matter. haha
anywho looks like I'm buying some new speakers for the rear,
I'm going to keep it all kenwood. I just wish kenwood would make
a kickass subwoofer.

does anyone have any idea about how much is the total price if installing a good quality kenwood speakers? maybe they costs under $100 bucks, but the installation and wiring is my concern. maybe it costs more than speakers...

i know this topic is old...but i barely take time to read all the posts but...

i belive the mp3 left out the speakers in the back for a reason. they did it not to rip off their customers but rather for sound performance. believe it or not, the majority of sound enthusiasts do not prefer to install rear speakers...just so the sound stage is brought to the front.

you should really checkout www.caraudioforum.com i totally changed my views about audio and i have saved at least $700 from my original set up i was thinking of.
