So recently I have begun to hear this weird noise. Every time I'm in first and let the clutch go in, I hear a strange rattling from the rear passenger side of the car.(or so it seems) anyone know what this might be?

Next...I have always heard this annoying rattling from the pass. side when the Bass is up high, and I figured out there is something rolling around in my sub under the pass. seat. So I attempted to take off the cover tonight, and the damn bolts that hold it down just snapped. I have to take it to the dealership now.

Also, My damn CD player is all messed up and wont eject or play cds...Dealership.

This damn car is killing me! I love it, but this kind of stuff makes me so frustrated! Is there anyone else that is having/had similar problems?

The rattling from the sub may be the woofer itself. "when the Bass is up high" and "5-inch woofer" don't mix very well. I know mine would overexert and make horrible popping sounds on certain bass-heavy songs (and I always had my bass set at -1 or -2 when I still had stock amp+speakers installed).

I get a rattle from the passenger side as well. Not sure if yours is coming from the same place or not, but mine comes from the clip in the passenger side kick panel. When the little button thing gets loose it will cause the panel to rattle. I just push it back in and it stops.

duuude every time Knights Of Cydonia by Muse or any song w- low frequency and lots of bass comes on, the rattling on the passenger side is awful.

Mazdas are doing much better than before in terms of rattles. But I just got this rattle from the instrument cluster area. Anybody know how to fix it?

I think that there is a how to, but if not, I beleive it's a TSB, so you can take it the dealer and they will fix it if you are under warranty

its the rear sway bar link i bet the nut is about to fall off mine did also it started handling bad you can reach under from the rear see if it turns by hand the tech in my little town said he has tightened about 60 loose sway bar end links probably should check them all my rattle is gone and it handles awesome again

I thought I had a rattle from the passenger side and discovered that the stuff I had in the center storage was causing it. Once I figured it out the car has been dead quiet. Granted I don't have that many miles on the car yet so its possible these rattles will show up later.

Oh and if anyone thinks the Mazda rattles you should try driving a VW, they are awful!

I have several different rattles depending on road conditions and weather:

1. the infamous windshield/cowl rattle in winter

2. emergency parking brake lever button

3. glove box - sounds like a thin metal rattle

4. just recently my front driver side suspension has started to make noise over small sharp bumps/dips in road

Anybody have these symptons and have solutions?
