When you buy new strut, don't forget to buy end links or you will pay. It took awhile to put springs on... That reminds me, if you plan on lowering it, do it all at the same time. You will save yourself a but load o money.
dwpeek: Thanks for the info, i would have never known. i don't plan on doing modifications to the car any time soon. I just need it to run at 100% until i can get enough money saved up.
RELiCiOUS: I have a one piece magnaflow muffler and tip. it gets pretty close to hitting the bumper though. i guess after i do the struts, i'll see if it still rattles. if it does, i'll have to go back to the muffler shop i got it installed and have them reposition it.
you wont need to buy new enlinks unless your nuts (yea the ones to the bolts) are frozen. being in texas you should be able to get them off without much problem. if you start to strip it, but the bolt out nut removers from sears and save some $$$ and just buy new nuts.
I had a rattling after changing struts... it turned out to be the washer that i didn't notice taking off when removing the rear right strut... There should be a washer right before you put the bolt back on... The rattling was pretty bad when going over small bumps... I opened up all the panels and noticed an out of place washer put it over the strut and bolted it back on. Problem solved.
I also get that loud clunking noise. Well not anymore... It happened about three times since changing my struts... Hasn't happened in a while now. Got the clucking while doing soft right turns.
