Wifey found a nail in the sidewall today...GRRRR..bought a no name tire (Salem??) from NTB..makes me want to get a street-wide magnet and mount it in front of the car...

Wow, that was a short rant! Sucks just the same though. I can't believe how many people I talk to that get mad at the tire (I dont mean you ), rather than the idiots that don't secure their cargo. Idiots in pick-up trucks overloaded with demolition/renovation garbage is the worst. Find 'em and fine 'em!

Agreed. I really felt sorry for some guy I saw last week. He was actually in a 2012 Mz5, and already his windshield had a major crack! The crap on the roads nowadays sometimes makes me feel like not driving, or wrapping the car in full length body armor of some kind!

For the record... The tire I got is actually a Sailun Altrezzo...it's round and black and since it's on the rear I have no idea how it compares to the Toyos..

I bought a new Civic Si last month. Drove it home, to work the next day and came out to a flat tire. The tire could not be repaired and I had to drive on the spare. That was the second time I drove my new car. The new tire was $239.

Was it because of a sidewall puncture as well? I know tires for new vehicles have warranties, but do they cover things like that?

if we drove like women there'd be nothing mysterious about sidewall punctures.. see ladies driving on flats all the time.
