Well took her to the track(1/8) and the best I could muster was a 8.84 @81.20MPH which as this was within 2 100th of the best time my buddy could do in his 300 SRT-8 I'm very happy. I think I can get him on the big end of a 1/4 mile. People were dying that my car was beating his and I took quite a
Few Camaros and even a Rousch Mustang. I have the CorkSport Inserts but I found it very hard to launch, allot of wheel hop a few times and my fast times were almost like street launches, guess I got to figure out the launch on this car. Anyone want to take a guess of what a 8.84 would equal in 1/4. The Converters say around 13.8, just wondering if any of you guys ever ran around a 8.84 in 1/8 and what the 1/4 turned out to be.

I dont like those 1/4 mile calculator things. An 8.84 @ 81 is the same as a 8.84 at 105--- at least the one's I used were.

Good times though! They are really encouraging. Do you classify yourself as a beginner driver, mediocre, badass.. or what?

That 1/4 time seems about right after looking at my 1/8 times on a couple of my slips. I had a 9.6 1/8 on my 14.6 1/4 run. You just need to get out to a 1/4 track so you can know for sure.

Sorry guys I lied, I ran a 8.86 not an 8.84, that was my buddies time. I dont have the slip in front of me but the 60ft was around 2.12, I never felt like I got a good launch the whole night though I'm starting to see that this car requires a very soft launch and then go balls to wall once clutch is out. I'll Scan the slip when I go down his house tomorrow. Laloosh I hope your right a 13.5 car with just an intake is fast. Oh yeah, I consider myself a pretty terrible Drag Racer, prob only run down a track 20-25 times in my life, as a street driver I consider myself better then avg?

Sunshine Speedway, Clearwater/St. Pete Florida. I'm gonna go out and try lakelands 1/4 mile one night, I'd love to be able to run a 13.5....

My 60Ft was 2.157 and the 1/8 was 8.884 @ 81.14. Just talked to my buddy who had the slips. I think that's pretty damn fast for an almost completely stock car.

some cars are freaks and are just plain faster than the exact same car sitting next to it... and yeah, sometimes it's the driver.

holler at me if you go to lakeland, i know they have tune night on thurs night. track is hit or miss, sometimes it sucks. they have alot of punch buggy rotaries that break so some nights its very slow. i live down the road, ill come support lol.

I would love to see this thread stick around awhile. The only track within an hour of me is 1/8..... but its real close and I plan on hitting it alot this year. Im interested in knowing what a "good" time is. All we ever hear is about 1/4s and Im going need some marks in the 1/8 to know how Im doing.

the difference is really only riding out 4th and a 5th shift.

Laloosh.... where is your official drag time thread? Somebody find it and bump that thing.

sorry, i dont doubt your times (maybe), but the srt-8 should smoke you easily unless a turd is driving it. a regular hemi 300 is one thing but the srt8's are much quicker than our cars. (even if u have a cai and such)

Hey I thought he'd kill me. (Before we left he was like dont be pissed if I beat u, I should I have a 6.1 HEMI with 425hp and a CAI and has run the car allot), I beat him with a 9.11 first race, he then realized why I always wanted to race him(I knew I could beat him for some reason, even though he took fastest time of night by 2/100th over my best.) I'd like to say I got a FREAK or was a Great Driver, but I just got lucky, the next best pass was a 8.9 and the rest were all over place up to 9.6. These cars are rockets and you know I didn't realize it till the fuss all the V-8's were making when they'd lose to me. There not very good drag cars either, the wheel hop got vicious a few times and for some reason I would try to power thru it...lol. I don't plan to do allot of drag racing but I'll tell you what I will go run the 1/4 one night and if I break into the Mid to high 13's, I'm fine with that, traction's becoming a real problem and that's fast enough. I say that until Cobb's AP comes out of course...lol Then I got to go see if I can run low 13's, maybe High 12's??? (Prob Not on Street Tires). Then I'm really done with the power on this thing, prob start on fixing that damn BOSE crap.

As we all do, I wonder with rolled fenders and wider rims whats the craziest Wide tire that would fit? Probably something like 265/35/17 or something, just wondering.

Been up for discussion alot I want to with 18s and lowered and stiffened suspension rear fenders should be rolled pretty clear on that. I would like to run 245 40 18 but will be ok with 235s. I can't decide about suspension goodies though Looking hard at coilovers but I probably only need them to fine tune rates and height and never touch them again. Sways for sure. straight line traction is the issue for you it sounds 16s w Mickeys Ehh

MY 1/8th was 9.34 @76.12.... How the hell are you ppl trapping so high??? I'm guessing it's the intakes you ppl have...

my 60ft was 2.174 1/4@ 14.44@ 94.59 - same run ^

These times are when I was bone stock (no motor mount or anything) haven't been out to the track sense my motor mount install but I firmly believe I'll run under 14 with just the mm
