cobra and whistler are the 2 best detectors that i can think of off the top of my head....i purchased my cobra off of ebay...paid $114 for it.....it cost $224 at CC ande BB....so that was nice deal....

radar roy does mention the V1, its just that he doesnt carry it thats all. i ended up buying the escort 8500 x50 in red. i had to drive to MD to buy it since its illegal in VA. Within the first week it already paid for itself. I've seen other ppl's set up hooking up the V1 and other systems without using the 12v good way. If its illegal in your state get a 12v connecter rather than a cordless. if not shoot away, but always keep in mind you get what you paid for. try to find out what bands are used in your area. you might as well make sure it have vg2 protection and now uses pop. its saved me tons of time within MD,NY,NJ,DC,VA,WV,TN,NC(get the idea)

wow, i always hear about those people getting screwed over. lol. i was going to go for the whistler pro73(heard good things about them).
