Ractive Header Arrived

The header arrived today after i ate out. Pictures below! I'll be sure to get more pics, sound clips, and hopefully a dyno. I'm looking forward to running at the Barona meet. (2thumbs)

nice! i highly suggest u wipe off ALL the fingerprints and oil u have on there. it will burn on and leave finger prints on there permently. matt should know... but yah, clean it well b4 u install. gl! - chris

i bought it from dfkracing for $280 shipped!! i had to trade my GC coilovers for this,, but thanks dfkracing..

there aren't any dyno's available because these never made it into production. i'll probably shine it before i install it later on today thanks for the tip. ok im off to installing the header.. be back in a bit to let you know what happened. -jay

is this the only one of it's kind?? Wagner is making a EL shorty header that retains factory emissions and only costs $185+shipping. I was planning on getting it, but that looks to be a nice unit.

ok i've returned from installing the header. i'll have pics up later tonight because im at my friends house. Question.. is my car supposed to sound nasty without a gasket connecting the midpipe to the header? Second, I have this nasty smell coming from the rear passenger side. Is that normal?

I hope to get a new gasket from Mazda tomorrow because my car sounds like a POS!! lol -jay

yeh i noticed it throughout the band.. really nice but without the gasket i can't really comment on the torque? can anyone out here tell me if this is right?

Yes, it is supposed to sound like ass without that gasket! The nasty smell coming from the passenger side is probably fresh exhaust. When you get out of your car you will probably smell funny.

PS - get the gasket!(rofl2)

hey everyone, quick noob question.. is it ok for me to use the stock gasket for the header itself? Also, does anyone know how much or part number for the 2.25" gasket needed? THanks- Jay

OMG What a difference the gasket can do!! IT sounds freakin awesome I love the sound and the pull, i figure 8whp... OHHH and with my HKS axle back exhaust, it gave it a different tone! Someone host my vid!! WOOOO for the ractive header. I'm glad it doesn't remove the second cat or else I'd put a bullet through my car kekekeke im happy
