Racing Beat springs for the P5

Yes I have one
I just got done reading this thread and now I'm a little confused. In that thread it states that according to Racing Beat, there are completly different part numbers for the sedan rear springs and ones for the P5. But I saw this on the RB website...

We have confirmed the fitment of these Protg suspension springs for the following applications:
2002-03 Protege Sedan - All Models (including Protege5)

So which should I assume is correct?? Are there P5 specific RB springs that can be used on the P5 w/o any modifications??

Also if anyone knows the spring rates for the following could you post them please....

Racing Beat - F/R
Eibach - F/R
Stock P5 - F/R

I was pretty sure I wanted to go with Eibach, but with the tire size I want to run, 215/45-17, I don't want any chance of rub. Even though people have that size and say there is no rub, I'd rather not chance it.

They are the same, my bro uses the mp3 springs on hie Protege5 and it has no problems.

So can anyone give me confirmation that the RB springs for the P5 and sedan are actually the same. Or are there two completly different parts. I need to know 100% for sure. As I said the RB website is kinda vague on this.

Also will the MP3 springs work on the P5 with no problems. Again I need 100% confirmation. Preferably from someone who actually has them. Not that has a friend of a cousins, sisters, brother-in-law who does. :D

I want to leave nothing to chance.

I already told you that my bro has the mp3 springs on his protege5, they work I work at a shop and have driven his car my days at the track i am telling you they work.

the real question is why you would want to run with a tire that is an inch taller than stock?? 195/50R16 is 23.7" and 215/45R17 is 24.7. Go with the 215/40R17 = 23.9

I just put a set of MSP springs on my P5. There are some differences. My car dropped alot more than a stock MSP. The rear springs required some work in order to get them to seat right. I believe that Racing Beat has developed a little bit longer of a spring for the rear of the P5 to ensure proper ride height in the rear. Mine is a little bit lower than it shuold be in the rear. I like the way it looks though. I have no pics of it yet. This weekend I eill be doing some shot of it. I am actually considering purchasing the rear springs that they advertise for the P5. However these sedan springs will work and ride very nice I might add.

Not trying to be a smartass but I dunno why that is such an important question and what relevance it has to the thread. But since you need to know it is personal preference. I like having a little extra sidewall for rim protection and because I like the way it looks.

I got the Racing beat on my pro.
