everything was going smooth, my friend and i had the car jacked up and on stands, and we began work at about 830. we realize the bolt on the axle back was completly frozen. nothing would get it off.

after 2 hours of not getting it, we decide to go back to my house to get my tool set, because socket wrenches werent cutting it. while on the way, we decide to go to lowes to get some liquid wrench. and we ended up buying/splitting an impact wrench. we got my tools from my house. and went back to work.

the impact wrench helped taking off the other bolts, but the frozen one wouldnt move. we ended up rounding it off hardcore. and we tinkered with that for about an hour and a half. and then decided to go to his import mechanic to get the bolt taken off. we got that done. went back, bolted it up, that took about an little less then an hour...

and here are the results

i pointed the camera down in the end because i forgot to hit the button =\

i gotz mad camera skillz

thanks. all that work was worth it in the end. i know i payed for a true quality product, and i recommend it to anyone whos considering an exhaust

now you just need a header and highflow cat :D oh, and an angle grinder works well for removing stubborn bolts that you dont need to keep

asi got it from protegegarage for 450. it was worth it IMO.
as for what im doing next? luminics bulbs, and possibly obx headers.

would i pass smog with headers that eliminate the primary cat?

idk ive never gotten a car smogged before. its always been done when i got the car...

if i can pass smog with headers, ill for sure get them next. is it a difficult install?

You'll never get tired of the sound, I know I didn't. It was the best mod I've ever done to the car. Even the dealership gave me an extra $500 for the car if I kept the cat-back on when I traded it in!

Just a warning, if you do decide to get a header, it will change the sound of the cat-back. Sounded waay "bassier" if that makes any sense. It started annoying me in the end so I put the stock manifold back on.

I'm going to get the racing beat exhaust too in a couple of weeks too!
i cant wait!, i will post how it sound with the obx header on too.

the obx header does replace the primary cat, so you probably would not pass emissions or any smog test... sorry, but you will get a lot more power out of your engine!!!

I had my car pass emissions with a header on it >The guy popped my hood and told me it was not going to pass because of the header and I told him to hook it up to his machine and it will pass . He did that and I got my sticker :)

maybe if u run premium ;)

How would that help? Premium burns worse in an engine tuned for 87...

As for emissions, it all depends on where you live and how the inspection is done. If it's like GA, there's no visual for OBDII cars. They just check that the fuel cap meets regs and plug you up to the OBDII reader. No code, all clear. If you're in a state / county that requires a visual check, welllllllllllllllllllllllll.... good luck.

my car runs way better with premium and long reach plugs. u just have to remember to reset the ecu after u fill up the first time, otherwise it will run worse than on regular gas

so the sound for the RB exhaust is really amazing!!!
and with the obx header it is really deep and throaty too!
...tho is pretty loud cruising at 70mph, but i just put music on anyways, so its no biggie.

and what do i do to reset the ecu?
anyone know?
