Quxtar: Yes or No?

I'll make this short and sweet. I did a search and found no info on this.

My qife and I have been approached to join Quixtar by some friends. This is not the first time but we've consistently said thanks but no thanks. I hear all these amazing stories and they gave me a CD to listen to which made me feel like a loser for holding a 9 to 5 job. But overall something does not feel quite right about this whole deal.

So anyone had any experience with Quixtar and was it positive or negative?

If it sounds to good to be true....it is. People must work hard to make their money. Unless you are born rich, win the lotto, or inherite (sp) money it should not come easy. I would hate to see someone get wrapped up in a scam.pyramid scheme.

I'm feeling the same way, plus I figure my father and mother put 2 kids through school with regular jobs, why can't I do the same. Those CD's make you feel like a sucker for working.

I was approached a couple years ago to join by some friends, none of them do it any more so it couldn't have been that good.

I was in Amway/Quixtar for awhile. It's not for everyone. First of all, you need patience because it takes awhile to do anything where you're actually making money. I'm not gonna say it's a rip off, because it does work. But you have to have a lot of drive and motivation to do it. It isn't easy, like they say. Also you have to be the type of person that is open, and willing to be cheerful and friendly all the time so you can meet new prospects for your downline (don't count on your family/friends)

It's really a pyramid scheme. You won't make an significant money until you have many many active users below you. Plus I've seen the product catalogs. Most of the items are much higher priced than you would normally find.

Since I live near Ada, birthplace of Amway and Quixtar, I would get approached alot. My buddy was feeling the same was as you, suckered to be working 9-5 when he could make real money in the quixtar system. After 2 years he made money but he also had to spend money to attend meetings and get the documentation to sell the stuff. Overally, he calculates that he lost over $2000.00 on mandotary purchases. they probably don't tell you that on the CD's.

On a side note, I had a manager of Bed Bath and Beyond pay $100 because when my wife and I were trying to register for our wedding he kept trying to sell me on quixtar. I asked to see his boss, to let them know that during work one of there employees was hasseling costumers. He gave a 100 dollar bill on the spot.

Thats just messed up. Being pressured while just doing your shopping. That manager did the right thing.

The manager was the one helping us register and trying to recruit me, so when I asked to see his boss he offered to pay me not to tell him. So I asked for 100 bucks!

It was a great day really except that we were in Bed Bath and Beyond for 4 hours.

Oh, well quick thinking on his part then. My bad.:)

It's a scam.
I work in an industry that sometimes produces CDs and DVDs for pyramid schemes, Real Estate schemes, and all types of get rich quick stuff. (I hate working those jobs.. and they NEVER pay on time)

stay away my friend... stay away!

I blackmailed him. He desired it though. Plus with the extra 100 we got a higher thread count on our sheets (I am told this is a good thing).

I work in the hotel banquets industry, and these get-rich-quick schemes come in at least once a month. I feel so sad for these people. Last month there was this older guy, probably 60 or so, at one of these "BUILD YOUR OWN INTERNET BUSINESS" things. They ask you to pay them $2,000 then you get this package with how to do it, your own web page, etc. All you need it seems. Then they offer the gold package for another $1,500 that seems like a great deal, but in the long run it is worth nothing. All of this stuff you could do on your own for pennies on the dollar. Anyways back to point, this poor old guy handed over a $3,500 check (seemed very distraught doing so). It just makes me sad, these people cash there lives on this, only to be ripped off.

While I LOVE capitalism and think it makes this country great, there sometimes is a dark side. But I guess we're all responsible for the choices we make.

Also I hate how Quixtar tries to tie in religion especially Christianity to their business dealings. I find to mildly insulting.

So the general consensus I'm getting is that it's a scam.

Does anyone know anybody who has been successful in Quixtar?

The best scam that i have ever seen are those ones that sell you prayers so you can get money. Exploited Christians is fun
