Quick heater help

I'm going to put this in car help as well, but I figured someone would be able to answer this quick.

I am putting in a new head unit for my stereo on my MSP and when I pulled the old one out, I taped off all the wires and everything, but had to run an errand before I could put the new unit in. While I was driving I noticed that me heater had stopped working. Any ideas? I checked the connections to the center unit and everything seemed connected...

my heater wont blow heat until after i spool my turbo, then after a couple minutes it starts blowin cold air again.

i think my issue was having a huge hole in the coolant reservoir. Replacement tank is on the way. Temporarily fixed with magical duct tape. Did you check your fuses?

I haven't checked my fuses but that's a good idea. It looks like the mechanical linkages are still connected to the unit so fuses would be a logical next step.

and you said you taped off the wires. Even though they may be taped off one could still be shorting out against another.

Well everything's put back together now because I was hoping that that was the case, but it didn't make a difference. I checked all of the connections and loose wires, everything looks just fine... I am wondering if it is the mechanical linkage attached to the thermostat. It LOOKS like it is connected correctly, but it goes waaay back beyond where I can see and reach, so I am wondering if somewhere down the line it broke. I am gonna sell my Perrin JBE and my old Kenwood head unit and the box that goes under it, and I am hoping that with the money I make from those I can fix this, fix my weather stripping, and get new lowering springs (mine are making all sorts of nasty noises when I go over bumps (at least I think it is the springs, I'm gonna open another thread about this soon)), and maybe replace a wheel bearing that is clicking. So much stuff going wrong at once... I love the car, but I hate keeping up with it!

Haha well currently I'm in Santa Barbara for school! It gets down to 34 at night! I had an early drive to Los Angeles the other day and I was so cold that I resorted to stealing my sister's snuggie and wearing it the whole way... so much shame.... SOOO MUCH SHAMMMEEEE!!!
