I've tried searching, to no avail. But my question relates to the Mazda navigation app on my 2021 CX-5.
When using Mazda's app, the locations of gas stations are shown on the screen. Often, especially along the Interstate Highway System, the number of gas stations shown is overwhelming, and it annoys me. So, I go to 'settings', and find the sub-menu which allows me to chose which of many items (airports, gas stations, restaurants, etc.) I care to see displayed. I un-check 'gas stations' (which I never did choose) and furthermore, I go into the gas station and un-check each of the scores of brand names shown within. Lo and behold, the gas stations no longer appear on the nav screen. UNTIL I turn the car off. But when I restart (even during the same destination trip) all the hundreds of gas stations once again appear.
Anyone know how to keep gas stations off the screen until I choose to include them? It seems that Mazda is being deliberately stubborn about this, but I am asking in case I've missed some fundamental setting which will keep the gas stations un-selected
