I have the chance to pick up a sick set of wheels and I want to make sure the bore size is correct for the ms3. The wheels are 17x8.5jj 5x114.3 lug pattern, +30 offset with 83mm hub bore. So would they fir correctly if I purchased them? Thanks for any input.

Oh, they are gram light 57C's, thanks

Depends on the tires, but with a 30+ offset, you'll probably rub at the very least on bumps or with weight in the rear.

Sry tire info would help wouldn't it, um they are brand new 245/45/17 Fuzion zri's. Thanks again for the help.

You will rub like mad with those tires. I was running a 17x8 +38 offset with a 245/45/17 got my fenders cut, and I still rubbed.

Speed3 has a 67.1mm hub. Just get some centering rings, and that won't be a problem. As for the rest of the equation- rubbing, overall fit, etc., I dunno. You'll get more answers on that.

Yeah, the hub bore is acceptable since it's bigger than MS3 hubs, so you can do what Bill said. The +30 offset is probably a deal-breaker though. That places the wheel face over 20mm farther outboard than stock. Plus the 8.5" width pushes the wheel face out an extra .75" (19mm) in addition to the 20mm.

Go look at your tire/ fender and imagine what would happen if your sidewall were 40mm closer to you than it is now!

Keep in mind too that the 245/45R17 has essentially the same OD as the 215/45R18, so downsizing to the 17 isn't gaining you anything.

is it a lost cause, or should I pursue this more because for the price its hard to pass up...

If you're going to get nice wheels like Gram Lights, it might be worth it to you to get your fenders rolled. I wouldn't do it for cheap-o crap wheels.
