Hi everyone,
I have a Mazda 2 (2016) with Mazda Connect. A while ago I installed an aftermarket CarPlay kit from AliExpress, which uses the original style USB hub and a wiring harness that’s already routed behind the dashboard.
Now I bought a new hub/module that has a USB-C port instead of the old USB-A port.
My question is: Can I just unplug the old CarPlay hub and plug the new Type-C hub into the existing cables/harness, or do I need to remove the whole harness and install the new one that came with the kit?
Has anyone here upgraded from an older CarPlay hub to a newer Type-C hub on Mazda 2 / Mazda3 / Mazda Connect and reused the same wiring?
