I just bought an AXELA badge for my wife's 3 and was curious about how many holes are gonna be under the MAZDA 3 badges since they are seperated. Who has done this badge and are there three holes or two, or hopefully none? If there is three holes, did you leave the 3 badge there? Or is the AXELA badge larger to cover all the holes? I haven't received the badge yet so that is why I am asking. It was an easy exchange on my car, Familia for the Protege, the pins matched perfectly. I just noticed the 3 badge was seperate from the MAZDA this morning on my way out the driveway. Thanks for the help.

There are two holes under the "mazda" badge, and two holes under the flying "M" badge. The "3" is held on only by tape. I think most people that add the Axela badge remove the 3, and put the Axela on the right hand side like this.

cool, is that yours?

Here is a pic or my car with the Axela badge. The 3 is just held on by double sided tape. I left the Mazda emblem because thats the way they do it in Japan.

Now I am confused. I thought all the badges, doors and hatch, were just glued on and a few minutes with some dental floss and goo-gone would be all that was necessary to "sanitize" it.

I am referring to the NA Mz3 models. Not the MS3.

The "Mazda" emblem will leave 2 holes exposed if taken off. The "3", I used an old credit card to get started on getting it off. And I used 3M General Purpose Adhesive remover and waxed the area that the remover was used on just to make sure nothing happened to the paint and I haven't had any problem with it yet.

The Mazdaspeed3 emblem does NOT have holes. Just comes off with some dental floss or fishing line. Heating it up helps a lot too.

So, I guess I am going to have to visit the parts guy when I get my car and have him show me the badges for the 2007 NA Ms3. No pins, no holes and off they come. If they have pins, then they are staying.
