P5 2002
My brother practically gave me this very nice car stereo. It is the much talked about (on here) KENWODD DDX 7015. I know it came out in 04 and there is a newer one from 05. It would not fit in his car. I have read and read from members here that it fits snuggly in the P5 double din.

I dont have any stereo install whatsoever. I know I can get the Ford din removal key and do it myself.

I also know it has a lot of inputs and outputs. Can I wire my ipod to it or is there a seperate kit?

Is it an easy install? For the moment I want to run it with my stock setup until I can get a sub and some amps. Will that do also?
any help is appreciated. Thanks

I'm pretty sure it has auxilary inputs for connecting an MP3 player. Kenwood's ipod adapter might also work with it...

If you know how to connect a wire harness and follow directions then installing it should be pretty easy. You can run your stock speakers with it but be forwarned that the stock speakers are only rated for about 10w and the speaker outputs from the new deck could easily damage them if you play your music too loud.

The DDX 7015 is also a great unit if you plan to install external amplifiers, speakers, and subwoofers. Give us an idea of your budget before you buy anything and we can help you select components that will work well together.

Thanks for the advice. I took it to have it installed and would you know it..the person who I bought it from forgot to tell me the passcodes for the unit. Is there a universal rest code for this stereo or am I screwed until I get the code they put in? Thanks!

If it was as easy as entering a universal passcode then the security feature would be pointless. If it is anything like Eclipses ESN you have to send the unit to Kenwood for them to unlock it if you do not know the security code.
