Question about playing audio files from USB

Hi all. New cx-5 get owner here. I am trying to figure out what kind of audio files will play directly from a USB stick in my new mazda. . Or if it's even n possible at all. It seems like mp3 is not working. Any help would be be greatly appreciated!!

Yes MP3 (and many more formats) is supported. You may drop multiple playlist files (in standard formats like m3u*) to the stick as well. Album artwork embedded per song is nicely displayed too. Just make sure your USB stick is formatted as FAT32 and not NTFS etc. The owner's manual has more tips on this.
