I'm finally bout to start workin on my car and was looking at buying my hard pipes, v2 smic, and air intake from turbohoses.com. Does anyone run these parts from this company or heard anything bout them? Or recomend any other company/parts besides corksport or protegegarage.com. Just lookin for feedback and recommendations I don't mind spending the extra money but at the same time don't wanna wast money.

I've been running THs harpipes ever since they came out. No problems at all with them. Went CustomMSP smic and use an injen though.

Yea thats the other intake I was looking at I wont even think of AEM last time I had them on my 2001 Protege the mounts broke so now that I've upgraded don't wanna risk it or go cheap.

you realize that you can get an fmic from corksport or kinetic motosrports for pretty much the same price right? if you have your mind set on an smic, (edit: no talking about this vender) has an smic and hard piping combo for cheaper. and their pipes look better

Yea i thought about the fmic. But i just don't wanna cut the car up at the moment and will lose torque that way I have heard. I just want it to run better/cooler since its a daily driver and not a built car. Plus I plan on doing a whole new engine build once I save up and figured Id do the fmic then when its more neccesary.

you're not gonna loose any torque with an fmic over an smic.....if you're gonna spend the money might as well do it right the first time. but hey its your car, plenty of people run those smic's and love them. turbohoses is a little overpriced i feel tho. good luck with your modding

You'd be happy with either the TH or CustomMSP smic then. And unless you are going to do an extreme build in the future, the upgraded smic will be fine then as well.

No nothing extreme its a daily driven family car and soon to be weekend warrior haha. Just where it has 104,000 miles. You can tell the previous owner drove it hard and reckless and "ghetto rigged" some things.

Turbohoses are great part makers! I used to have their items before I went to the best FMIC, the turbolife. I still
have their intake and I'm loving it!

I have the turbohoses hardpipes, though I got the Custom smic and the WeaponR SRI. No complaints about Turbohoses... good guys, good service, and good parts. Here's a pic of my set up, showing the hardpipes & SRI:

Turbohoses is expensive gear...but it's also quality gear. When I use TH parts I don't ever wonder about it, because I know it's solid. Nothing I hate more than getting something and always have something nagging in the back of my mind as to whether or not it'll hold up like it's supposed to.

I have my turbohoses SMIC v2 and hardpipes arriving next week. I'll let you know. What I do know so far is that if you are going to order it do it now. I ordered mine on 4/25 and it was just shipped yesterday. They were cool though they gave me free T-clamps and faster shipping at no charge for the delay.

^it took long to ship due to them making it on case to case. They are really great to deal with. When I ordered mine back 2-3 years ago they called me a couple times :P nice guys

I too am looking to get the Turbohoses SMIC V2. Are there any other supporting mods that I need?

If you like these pipes and smic, keep an eye on the FS threads.... I will prolly be putting my car back to stock, starting next week.

You will definitely have to let me know how you like the smic v2 and hard pipes. Those I'm pretty much have my mind set on the intake I'm still iffy on due to price. That's the other thing I'm impatient haha but def know the wait will be worth it!

I just installed by TBs V2 today with their SMIC; I had to do some cutting about the fan housing in order to fit due to the bigger intercooler. My cold pipe seemed short and it was missing the bracket at the top. I called them and they are making me another cold pipe half inch longer and with the bracket. There is a metal clutch line that is in the way that the V1 had a bend built to it but the V2 are straight. I was able to bend it down enough to clear. I've blown the cold pipe off twice already due to it being short hopefully when the new one gets here it'll take care of that problem. I'm sure everything will turn out great. I was on the phone with the welder himself telling him what was going on and trouble shooting. The new pipe is free of charge and they said they'll make sure everything is right and that I'm satisfied. So as far as me saying whether or not it's worth it I can't really say I only get 2-3 good pulls before the stupid pipe blown out (and yes i'm tightening the crap out of them) the problem is that since the pipe is short there isn't enought pipe in the 45 degree hose to get a grab of. The intercooler is very nice looks well constructed as well as the hot pipe. I have mine installed with an injen CAI. I did have to cut the pipe about an inch that comes off the hot pipe to be able to attach the BPV to it.
