Question about MX-6 Transmission Service / Replacement

Currently my bro owns a '93 MX-6 4-Cylinder and the previous owner liked to downshift without rev-matching. As a result the syncros are pretty messed up. After changing the transmission oil, it works better, but will still need service down the line.

Should we just have the gears directly replaced with stock parts, or would it be an idea to replace the transmission / gears with non-stock parts?

Same question for the clutch. Service or aftermarket replacement?

Thanks

is the car going to be heavily modified? if not, all stock parts are great. my mx has 69k, no grinding. if it will be modified, id upgrade the clutch and pressure plate to say, a Clutch Masters Stage I. i use the Stage III and it works great so far.
