Question about HID's for 2012 Mazda 3

Hello! Just bought a 2012 Mazda 3 Hatchback w/ 6-speed manual last month and I absolutely love it. I'm looking into buying some HID's for the car, preferably 8000k. However, I noticed on some sites they have the option of including "Warning Cancelers/capacitors". Should I include these with my purchase, is it entirely necessary?

This looks like a sort of voltage buffer to prevent flicker/dash error messages. I don't think my MX5's aftermarket HIDs have this device but then again, a 2008 MX5 doesn't have all the electronics that a 2012 3 probably has, so the WCC may be good insurance.
