question about carbon fiber hood

Just to clarify, do you mean the pipe thingy should be recessed under the lip, or that the pipe is fine and the hood should not be hitting that pipe.

And I got a reply back from DGM. The protege they have does not have this metal pipe. He said he would show my picture to the owner and see if there is a solution.

And a couple things to Jspec...1) I feel I jacked your thread so I apologize for that! And 2) Since you're from Cleveland, we should meet up sometime! (burnout)

It's alright, not a problem. We'll meet up when the weather is nice and when I get my car back from the body shop with all my parts on it.

to the person having fitment issues.....i purchased the gemini rev. cowl and i had fitment issues until i adjusted those stupid rubber stoppers on the front of the engine bay.....did you lower those that helped alot....you could also try taking and rmoving the washers from the bolts used to attach the hood to the car....

Hey just a quick update for those who are interested....my DGM hood fits. It was coming down on the little metal bar that is suppose to hold your hood up when you open it. We just popped that bar out, hood closed and latched, and it's at the painters right now. I'll have it on the car Thursday. My car is almost looking like the photoshop pic in my sig...yay! I'll post a pic when it's all finished.

How's your fitment? I haven't even tried to remount mine since I got it on in August, but there's a huge space on the passenger side as it is and it seems to sit up too high on the driver side.
