can they bolt up? i know they did a make over of the car but same engine so maybe almost same plumbing? ive seen some aftermarket exhaust and they look pretty similiar, has any1 tried? guess im one of the few who really want a dual exhaust. =( it be nice if they could work...

Oh, your so smart. Why didn't I search? Your semi smart ass_ness is not welcome. Nor did you even read the f'in question correctly... im not asking for a custom setup... im asking if the 2nd gen. Exhaust would almost bolt up besides the mounting points where the hangers were (I can always have some1 weld those in.) The reason I ask is here in philly it costs a lot for a custom exhaust esp. Dual exhaust. If I bought a cat back for the 2nd gen and it fit that would be most of the work yano? Anyways, if some1 else has the resources (friend who has 2nd gen.) And the time lmk!!!!! I love dual exhausts...

Wow! Breathtaking! OP wants help, a reply comes back raising the fair question as to whether he had tried the search function but reply still goes ahead, takes the time out to do the search for the guy, tries to answer the question and then gets blasted for (1) having suggested that it might be good to try to do the search first so we don't have to keep doing work for those who have not and (2) because OP doesn't like the answer he gets.

"Let no good deed go unpunished."

No wonder people get frustrated and are reluctant to do the searches for those too lazy to try it for themselves. They should at least try.

Short answer to OP: Hell no, they will not bolt up, stock to stock. Did I understand the question right, or am I gonna get disrespected too for trying to help?

Maybe the answer is here:

no. it was a simple question because i DID search.... ive only talked on this tread very few times... u know why? cause people like him make me feel bad for no reason, just like you who think every post is from some kid. he didnt ask if i searched btw. questions end with a question mark. i didnt want someone to search for me. just wanted to know who knew the answer. i've already tried that and came up with the same link as him, which i read through til the end and went through every thing saying "dual exhaust". didnt mean to sound like a bully, im an extremely down to earth guy, just felt offended when i tried the search button... thanks msms3 for the answer tho, i really couldnt find it.

You felt offended? Maybe my reply was said in a joking matter but I however, did not go on to insult you as a person, which YOU did. I was also being sarcastic about "searching is fun" because it isn't on this forum. I though to myself, "Oh I know the perfect thread for this guy because I remember reading it a couple months ago but can't remember the name" I looked through every exhaust thread using this crappy search browser to find that link for you (which you already read). I obviously did not understand the question you first posted. Sounded to me like you were looking for a dual exhaust similar to 2nd gen to put on a 1st gen. If you supplied the information correctly the first time then this wouldn't have happened. And if you search other threads that I've replied to I might not always have the best information but I reply as thoroughly as possible to help the OP out. I've learned my lesson now.

Yo.. You would have been the better person sally if you didn't even reply at all in my honest opinion... I never insulted you cuz you did mean it sarcasticly like I didn't search... and you did answer in a semi smart ass way. Note the semi. Also, I got upset and said you didn't even read the question correctly is because you didn't read it correctly period. My tone changes right after that and im nice again.... I was nice in the other reply after msms3... it was a honest mistake that you didn't get it but you didn't have to act out of sarcasm... cuz you don't know me and you don't know I've been checking for past 3 days... I also thanked him after he sided with you too... I was asking if 2nd gen exhaust fit the 1st...what? you want a sorry? Then im sorry, but grow up.... I didn't name call you nor call you stupid. I listed facts and acted towards your semi smart ass comment...how can you say something out of sarcasm when you didn't read the question clearly? mods close this sh^t... im a grown adult I don't deal with petty squables. Your right and im wrong, can't we just get along then?

Dude you really need to lighten up. This is the internet...

That being said, I know a euro company makes a dual exhaust for the mps.

A cat back exhaust has little to no power gains and you need a new rear insert for your bumper, unless you going to hack it up.

Not worth it IMO

Now chill the **** out :)

The tunnel for the exhaust on the 2010+ models has a tighter shape when it does the jog to clear the gas tank so the exhaust is not compatible without cutting and welding.

Don't know if I'm allowed to post links for this website, but add "store.com" to the end of "mazdaspeed" and they sell after market dual exhausts for the new gen Speed3's with dyno proven gains of 1hp and 3torque. LOL! It's just proof that mazda does really know what they're doing and gains really are minimal unless you are pushing 300+ horsepower. But if it's for looks and it's worth it to you, then do it.
