Quality Assurance

I was wondering if anyone has heard this. I just bought my CX-7 a few days ago and I got a call from the salesman from my Mazda dealership. He said he wanted me to bring in my CX-7 to run some quality assurance tests. He said that Mazda likes to test the cars within 7 days for quality assurance. Has anyone else heard of this? If so, what kind of tests did they run?

Yes....all dealers are suppose to do this. They check everything out now that it's been driven for a week or so and if there are any new updates since you bought your car they will do them. I had it done. It's a good thing and all dealers should do this. Takes about an hour or less.

Its called a Final Quality Inspection.

Its generally done either RIGHT before delivery, or within the first week.

They check all fluid levels again, DISI components, seals, visually inspect brakes, etc.

Its to make sure everything is in great shape for delivery.

Nice. Thanks for the info. By the way I love my CX-7. It's fun to drive and is pretty fast. I'm glad I chose it. (enguard)

No, but I did get a questionair from Mazda asking about how I was treated, did I have all my questions answered, would I recommend the salesperson and dealership etc.

same here

They couldn't do my FQI when I got my CX7 due to it being Sunday and the service center was closed. Salesman told me he left a message for the service manager and that he would call me within a couple of days, and to my surprise I got a call first thing Monday morning. Going in tomorrow for my FQI.
