I marked original setting but I tightened down ..

Tighten the screw down but not tight, just enough to seat the screw.

I have exploded pictures of that fuel damper (tore down an old one), I will post pics later.

Under the head of that screw should be an o-ring. directly under the cap is a spring that pushes on the center of a diaphragm.

I also believe that if you tighten it all the way down, it will mess up that damper, but the damper does work by letting the screw push past the housing....

What would happen if that screw were to fall out? Would it affect the way the car runs?
