The Mazda 3 cars, including the speed, shipped to CA, MA, ME, NY, VT have a special emissions package called PZEV, which is "Partial Zero Emissions Vehicle". Does anyone know what this means for our cars? Does it effect drivability, tunablity, power output?
Thats only for emissions related equipment. Its a few less hp\tq. The ECU is alittle different, they run alittle leaner, the gas tank is different, the exhaust has an extra muffler, and they have one extra 02 sensor after the 2nd cat.
Some exhausts dont fit (vibrant doesnt, ark didnt as of last time I heard from them) You have to go to a shop and have a bung welded in, and one of the bends made a bit longer to clear the tank. Im speaking for the Vibrant exhaust, I dont know about the others.
The only one that has really taken the Pzev cars into account is SCI, and Im not sure if his exhausts are even out yet.
