Purge solenoid part #?

Hey all,

Someone here posted that Dorman (sp?) makes an aftermarket replacement for these on MS3s. Does anyone have this info?

dorman i think is a common supplier for new stock components. i have bought tie rods and exhaust bits and maybe even rotors for my other less loved cars. cheap and usually as decent as stock. I am thinking advance auto. i feel like i am not helping though. what the heck makes you want to buy a purge solenoid please?

I posted in another thread that i had a HUGE drop in mileage (from 31 to 22mpg) and CELs unexpectedly (vacuum leak). I changed this part out (2 minute job) and everything has gone back to "normal".

So, if you see this (no power drop at all) and a rough idle immediately after filling up, it's the purge solenoid or purge valve (same thing). Cheap and easy fix. The dorman is ~$28 while the OEM is ~$80.
