Purchasing new Diff

Okay, so I am about to purchase a new lsd from mazda. My question is do I need to ask for anything else or should the differential just drop in to the tranny?

you will need to swap your ring gear but i believe mfactory lsds come with fasteners. new bearings while your in there would be good cheap insurance, only 6 of em so might as well do them all.

I believe he is talking about the bearings in the case that the gear sets ride on, and two bearings for the diff itself. You will also need new lock nuts for the gear shaft as well.

Okay so the six bearings for gear sets? I looked at the long hundred something page step by step guide and i was wondering which of the things i need so i apologize if i come off as ignorant in this matter. The two bearings for the diff need to be pressed? In that guide there was something about a speedo ring gear. However i was under the impression that I had 4 wheel abs speed sensors? is this true? thank you in advance for all of your help.

Yes the speedo gear is for non-abs equipped proteges so you will not have to worry about it, the bearings do need to be pressed on each side of the diff. There should only be 4 bearings for the gear sets and two for the diff, and two lock nuts.
